Dacoits looted Reliance Jewelery in Samastipur late on Wednesday evening. The criminals carried out the incident in just 20 minutes. Advocate Sudhakar Rai, who came out of the showroom at around 11.30 pm after police interrogation, said that it was around 8 o’clock in the evening. He had come to buy jewellery. Meanwhile, two miscreants entered first with pistols in their hands, five other miscreants also entered from behind. Apart from them, the personnel were held at gunpoint and locked in the room near the staircase. Everyone’s mobile phones were also taken and thrown away. The miscreants then carried out the robbery within a leisurely period of 15-20 minutes.
While escaping, a miscreant’s pistol was also left behind inside the showroom. Which was later confiscated by the police. Rai told that all the miscreants had pistols in their hands. On the basis of which the workers were held hostage. Two miscreants were guarding the gate leading to the stairs, so that no one made any noise. There could have been some miscreants outside also, which cannot be denied.
Showroom’s front CCTV camera faulty
Let us tell you that the CCTV cameras installed on both sides of the main gate of this showroom of Reliance are faulty. It has not been working for several months. It has been told that the miscreants ran away after dropping the shirt, due to which the personnel could not see in which direction the miscreants ran. Since it was night, there was less movement of people, due to which information could not be obtained as to in which direction the miscreants ran after committing the incident.

Here, ASP Sanjay Pandey said that immediately after the robbery incident, the police team reached the spot and is doing investigation. The team of forensic department has also been called. Right now the showroom staff are matching the jewellery. However, the manager said that the miscreants have looted Rs 1.5 to 2 crores. Some customers have also been robbed. Two people have been detained in this case and are being interrogated.
